C

Clouds
Acoustical wall panels that are hung horizontally from the ceiling. Used to reduce noise and acoustically tune a room.
Convex
An outside curve.
Concave
An inside curve.

D

D-Ring
A stainless steel mounting device shaped like a D used in conjunction with hanger wire to mount baffles.
Diffusers
A molded fiberglass panel in the shape of a "dish" used in ceilings or on walls to help diffuse noise and sound. Used for music rooms to help acoustically tune a room.

N

N.R.C.
Noise Reduction Co-efficient - a mathematical expression of how much noise is being absorbed by an object.
New Dimensions
A custom acoustical panel finish, usually used in ceilings, that mimics the look of gypsum or plaster but is acoustically absorbent.
